Glove Change Schedule

  • Every 30 minutes of resin contact
  • Immediately if torn or punctured
  • Before touching phone, keyboard, face, food
  • Between dirty and clean tasks
  • When switching resin types

Emergency Response Quick Guide

SKIN CONTACT

  1. Wipe with DRY paper towel
  2. Wash with SOAP and WATER (2 min)
  3. Do NOT use IPA on skin
  4. Monitor for 48 hours
  5. Report if rash develops

EYE CONTACT

  1. Go to EYEWASH STATION now
  2. Flush with water for 15 MINUTES
  3. Hold eyelids OPEN
  4. Get medical attention
  5. Bring the SDS

INHALATION

  1. Move to FRESH AIR
  2. If breathing difficulty → call 911
  3. Do not re-enter until ventilated
  4. Report symptoms to supervisor

IPA SPILL

  1. Eliminate ignition sources
  2. Ventilate area
  3. Absorb with pads/towels
  4. Do NOT use water

IPA FIRE

  1. Class B extinguisher (CO2 or dry chemical)
  2. Or smother with metal lid/fire blanket
  3. Do NOT use water
  4. Evacuate if not controlled → call 911

Waste Disposal Quick Guide

Waste How to Dispose
Liquid uncured resin UV cure to solid → plastic waste
IPA with dissolved resin UV cure → filter solids → solvent waste
Paper towels with resin UV cure 10 min → regular waste
Used FEP film UV cure residue → regular waste
Cured resin parts Regular plastic waste (not recyclable)
Used gloves UV cure visible resin → regular waste
Empty resin bottles Rinse, UV cure residue → recycle

NEVER pour resin or contaminated IPA down the drain

Cross-Contamination Prevention Checklist

  • [ ] Personal items stored in CLEAN zone (away from resin work area)
  • [ ] Gloves removed BEFORE touching phone/keyboard/bag
  • [ ] Hands washed AFTER removing gloves
  • [ ] Resin bottle exterior wiped after pouring
  • [ ] Printer touchscreen wiped at end of session
  • [ ] Work surfaces cleaned with IPA + soap/water
  • [ ] Door handles cleaned if touched with gloves

Safe Resin Lab Session Checklist

Before Starting

  • [ ] Ventilation system ON and verified
  • [ ] Eyewash station accessible and functional
  • [ ] Fire extinguisher location confirmed (Class B/C)
  • [ ] SDS binder present at workstation
  • [ ] PPE available: gloves, glasses, coat
  • [ ] Food/drinks removed from work area
  • [ ] Hair tied back, jewelry removed

During Session

  • [ ] Gloves on for ALL resin contact
  • [ ] Gloves changed every 30 min or if damaged
  • [ ] Vat covered when not printing
  • [ ] IPA containers sealed when not in use
  • [ ] IPA away from heat sources (>1 meter)
  • [ ] No food/drink in work area

After Session

  • [ ] All surfaces wiped (IPA then soap/water)
  • [ ] PPE removed in correct order (gloves first)
  • [ ] Hands washed with soap/water (20 sec)
  • [ ] Waste UV-cured and properly disposed
  • [ ] Resin vat covered or strained back to bottle
  • [ ] IPA containers sealed
  • [ ] Ventilation left running for 15 min after last operation
